Record launch and west coast debut of a new Montreal label, Empreintes Digitales, under the direction of Jean-François Denis and Claude Schreyer. A concert with performances by Lori Freedman, Kathy Lewis, Pauline Vaillancourt, and the composers, in works by Daniel Scheidt, Alain Thibaut, Robert Normandeau and Christian Calon. Saturday’s concert featured Jacques Drouin performing a piano composition by Alain Thibaut, percussionist Trevor Tureski in Scheidt’s ‘Obeying the Laws of Physics’ and Claude Schreyer in a new work for clarinet and electronics.
