“I remember the session I did with Ernst. It was in 1983 I played and
recorded a session with him. There was no concert, only an informal putting some of our music on tape. I think this was Ernst’s first time in Vancouver… before the first jazz festival. I hung out with him and Jennifer Mascall. Ernst also did a solo cello concert through the VNMS at this time. It was all pretty cool.”- Paul Plimley
